Subjects Taught
Mrs. Skelton's Second Grade Class

I attended the University of West Georgia to obtain my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education degree, as well as my Master's of Education and my Specialist's in Education degrees.  I have also obtained an Administration degree from the University of West Georgia.

While attending the University of West Georgia, I was given the opportunity to complete my student teaching placement at Mount Zion Elementary.  I immediately fell in love with the school, staff, and the community.  I began my teaching career in 1st grade.  I taught 1st grade for 3 years, and then moved up to 3rd grade.  I taught 3rd grade for 5 years before moving to 4th and 5th grades.  I am currently teaching 5th grade Reading and Language Arts.  2013-2014 is my 14th year teaching!

My name is Amanda Davenport.  I have been teaching at Mount Zion Elementary for 14 years.  I thoroughly enjoy the school, students, staff, and community.  I have two children, Abigail and Andrew.  They also attend MZE, and love the school as much as I do!  We are proud Eagles!
