I graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2007 with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I earned my Master's in Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University in 2011. I then went on to earn my Specialist's degree from Walden University in Educational Technology in 2012.

This will be my 12th year as a teacher, all of which have been in Carroll County. I taught 2nd and 3rd grades at Glanton-Hindsman Elementary for three years. Once I moved to Mt. Zion Elementary, I taught Pre-K for two and a half years, 1st grade for a year and a half, and 3rd grade for four years. This will be my first time teaching fourth grade, and I am very excited to be teaching math. I love being a part of the Mt. Zion family, and am looking forward to a great year!

I have lived in Carrollton, GA for the past 15 years. My husband John and I have two children, Uriah (6) and Judah (1). We have one dog, Maggie, two cats, Peanut and Spike, and a fish, Conner. I enjoy going to spending time with my family, volunteering at my church, baking, watching movies, and anything to do with technology. A few things my former students could tell you about me...

  • I love anything with owls on it
  • I drink coffee every morning and love an afternoon snack of chocolate :)
  • My favorite sports team is Ohio State (Go Buckeyes!!)
  • I love to sing and dance
