I am an Alumni of the University of West Georgia (Go Wolves!) where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching for 9 years. 8 of those years have been at Mount Zion Elementary in a 4th grade reading/ELA classroom. Reading is my love, and I enjoy teaching the students about the beauty of seeing the world through reading. Not only do I enjoy being a teacher, I also enjoy being a wife and mom. I have a mini eagle, Lizzie, going into second grade this year, and my husband, Wesley, is a Lineman at Carroll EMC. We reside in Carroll County, where Wesley and I have spent our lives learning the true meaning of community. We are blessed to continue this tradition with our own family. 

At MZE, we strive to become soaring eagles both inside and outside the classroom. I am blessed to be a part of the MZE family.
