At MZE, we use the acronym SOARS to outline the behavior expectations of our Eagles.

Throughout the day, students can earn SOARS points through the PBIS app for demonstrating positive behavior. At the end of each 9 weeks, students who have met their SOARS goal will get to attend a celebration! In the past, we have had celebrations such as a dodgeball game, crafts and cookie decorating, a dance party, and Water Day!

MZE House Goals table: soars school spirit, outstanding performance, academic achievement, rising leaders, superior character; playground taking care of playground equipment show good sportsmanship use recess an an opportunity for teamwork and problem solving demonstrate self-control line up when your teacher calls; hallways keep walls and hallways clean voices off to respect instructional time keep hands and fee to yourself to promote learning stop, look, and listen and respond when spoken to by an adult stay in a single file line; restrooms keep restrooms clean give others their privacy voices off to respect instructional time pick up trash and make an effort to make it better than you found it wait in line with voice level zero; cafeteria keep cafeteria clean use appropriate noise level quickly and quietly line up to get back to class put trash in the appropriate place know your number and keep menu choice get what you need the first time; bus keep the bus clean enter and exit in an orderly fashion keep a safe environment set a good example for others know your stop and notify the driver of any problems on the bus.
